ABOUT HEMSWELL CLIFF

The civil parish of Hemswell Cliff was formed when the former R.A.F Hemswell was closed and most of the property changed to private ownership. The former base buildings now house one of the largest antique centres in Europe and other businesses ranging from grain storage and testing facilities to second hand book shops and a garden center. On Sundays the site hosts a huge open market and carboot sale.

Located in rural Lincolnshire, about 12 miles north of Lincoln, just off the A15; Hemswell Cliff is a unique mix of industrial, agricultural, residential and retail properties.

Hemswell Cliff Parish Council prides itself on having no affiliation with any political party. We are here to serve the people of Hemswell Cliff. Parish Council meetings are held about 10 times a year. Currently we meet at the "Coffee Pot" in the Community Centre in Hemswell Cliff but the venue will probably change to the school in the Autumn of 2008. Dates and times are posted on the parish notice board outside the NAAFI/Spar shop or contact the parish clerk for details.
